After spending some time hiking along the shore in UBC area, we decided to visit Granville Island on our way back home (to Coquitlam). We had a yummy lunch at Granville Market - decided to try some authentic Mexican food. Jae got himself salad plate with chicken and beans and I went with buritos (black bean and cheese). It was super tasty (and felt healthy too!) and we enjoyed our meal from a first floor dining area overlooking the bay.
After this wonderful meal, all that was left to do was enjoying some tea :) We stopped by this original Japanese brewing shop, where we enjoyed two different pots of tea (I went with Roiboos tea, because it's a decaf.. and really flavorful!!) and Jae got himself Iron Goddess, which also smelled amazing :)
The brewing cafe is called Sawa. You can find it on 2nd street, right next to Granville Island entrance. It's run by Japanese, which guarantees a one of a kind experience! We even got to try some free Japanese sweets (two milk chocolate balls in green tea powder.. heaven on earth!!!)
